Laser Engraving
Laser engraving turns light into permanent detail — logos, names, patterns, and serial-style marks burned or etched into real materials with workshop-level accuracy. Popular slate coasters and 12×12 pieces are part of this lane too. Optional custom wood frames are available at an additional cost (quoted on order).
What it is
We use focused laser energy to mark or engrave surfaces: cutting shallow detail into wood and acrylic, annealing or etching metals, and branding leather and coated goods.
Designs can be simple type, intricate line art, photo-style raster engraving (material dependent), or production marks for batches of the same piece.
You can bring finished vector art, a rough sketch, or just the words and layout preferences — we’ll help prep files for clean burns.
Why people choose it
- Engraving doesn’t peel like a sticker and doesn’t wash off like many prints. It’s part of the object.
- Great for gifts, branding, inventory tags, and anything that needs to look intentional up close.
- Repeatable: once a file is dialed in, short runs stay consistent piece to piece.
Materials & substrates
- Hardwoods & plywood (cutting boards, plaques, boxes)
- Acrylic and many plastics (signs, keychains, overlays)
- Anodized aluminum, stainless (with appropriate settings/coatings)
- Leather and many faux leathers
- Coated tumblers and select drinkware (material-dependent)
- Slate — coasters and plaque-style pieces
- Cardboard and craft materials for prototypes

Care tips
- Wood: wipe with a dry or lightly damp cloth; avoid soaking engraved areas in standing water unless the piece is sealed for that use.
- Metal: clean with non-abrasive cloths; avoid harsh scouring that can dull contrast.
- Leather: condition occasionally; keep away from prolonged soaking.
- Acrylic: soft microfiber only — abrasive pads can haze the surface around the mark.
